MVP Renewal 2021
This last year has been a difficult one for events, conferences, and user groups. A lot have just shut up their doors and are waiting for the current COVID-19 pandemic to settle down again. As a result, there has not been too many speaking opportunities to come across, even virtually.
Not only that, working on open-source projects and doing anything outside the normal 9 to 5 working days has been a struggle for me, and I know others. So over the last year I haven’t spoken at many events or really done much with the community.
So, it was a great surprise and delight that I was renewed again as an MVP in Cloud and Datacenter! This will be my third year, and I am genuinely honoured that Microsoft recognise the contribution I have made.
Even though in some areas around the world are opening up after the COVID-19 pandemic, the next 12 months are still going to be difficult. I have plans to get more involved with the community and getting back to this blog again. They are not grandiose plans that need any sort of big announcement. They are realistic, and I hope achievable plans that get me back to where I want to be: sharing with the community, helping others both technically and with their careers.
Here’s to another 12 months!
